The Abu Humpty Dumpty Nursery Rhyme

with 3 comments

Abu Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall,
Abu Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.

All the kings horses and all the kings men
Couldn’t put Abu Humpy together again.

So they framed his son, Humpty, instead.
Without Miranda, cuffed him and dragged him out of his bed.

Sentenced by a vegan judge in front of an honorable jury of his egg white peers,
He left the court for prison in tears.

That night, he wept himself to sleep chained in a bracelet,
The next day, the warden and guards opened their fast with a salty omelette.

  1. Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall
And all the King’s Horses and all the King’s Men
Failed to put Humpty Dumpty back together again.

    Humpty picked himself up
    Found all of his pieces
Prayed to God to help him through the people of Jesus
Slowly but surely Humpty is patching himself up
With the Muslims however, he had no such luck.

  3. Abu Humpty had a tragic fall,
    Caught up in anti-Islamist squall.

If only Abu Humpty’s horses and men
Didn’t vote in Pew polls for suicide sin.

But solid majorities of the religion of peace
Cannot differentiate death vultures from geese.

So when good eggs like Abu Humpty’s are scrambled
Less people rush to get him untrammeled.

I do not joy in Abu Humpty’s tragic fall:
I just note his religion remains in a stall.

I just note a sad fact of humanity:
Stereotypes snarl our best will to be free.

Until a new wind brings a brave Reformation,
Not much succor for poor Humpty’s deformation.
