I essentially studied for 17 full days (w/o BarBri classes but with BrBri and MicroMash materials) and passed the Bar Exam. But I studied from 6AM to 11PM those 17 days (with 3 one-hour breaks in the middle for food etc) and had a plan that I believed in (I never thought that I would fail). I don't think I am particularly smart but I have always managed to kick the living shit out of standardized tests. I am not suggesting that you do what I did unless you are pretty laid back and have still managed to do well in school (3.6+GPA) and standardized tests (1550+/1600 SAT); (170+ LSAT).

If you see my earlier post you'll see that Im in a similar boat to what your sister was...but regardless of how 'practical' and 'open to change' an individual may be we cant change Allahs law - which is for a muslim woman to marry a muslim man.

I can understand how you're sister came to that decision, I really can... and I can also understand the turmoil she must have gone through to justify her decision to herself, however in your attempts to justify zinna all youre doing is sugar coating your sisters weakness.

There is a problem and many will pay...but losing the faith isn't the answer...

Didn't Mohammad have a bunch of poets assassinated (Asma Bint Marwan, Kaab)? If so, wouldn't THAT constitute the basis for shariah based laws justifying Kashgari's treatment? (I'm reminded here of an essay I once read called "Mohammad's Dead Poet Society").
